Wardle & Co. (Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, 1871-1935)
Impressed mark Wardle; England; 1931. Formed with a tall, straight neck and slightly sloping shoulder, this large and important vase was made by the famous art pottery house, Wardle & Co. It is a beautiful piece displaying both tube-line and slip decoration. It features a lovely floral spray design in tones of yellow, gold and brown on an olive green ground. Similar to Owens/Weller glazes.
