This small, horizontal, hand carved, pierced panel was a decorative element from a marriage bed. It features a cinnebar red, lacquered finish and displays three smaller panels; the center one depicting a couple, flanked by panels with lotus and hawthorn sprays. The border is finely painted with sacred symbols. The whole piece is accented with gold. A nice pair with H-64-0002.
