INFANTE

Restoration Specialist/
Head of Architectural Sales

Arthur Infante is a multifaceted craftsman of stone, metal, wood, ceramics, and a variety of other media. Exposed early to the passion of working with his hands, he could most often be found working alongside his father as a boy and then as a teenager, building structures of concrete that ranged from hydraulic concrete structures to massive grain silos. He learned early, too, the ability to problem solve, engineer, and design, building skateboards (which were hardly even being manufactured at the time) and doing custom fiberglass work on sports cars and boats.

During the summer of 1981, Arthur was able to launch a small concrete construction company with a partner at age 19. Always pursuing a side passion for art, he painted and sculpted while attending NJC in Sterling, Colorado. In 1987, just before moving to Greeley his first daughter was born, Alyse. Still in the construction trade, Arthur continued to study the arts, at AIMS & UNC in Greeley. After the birth of his second daughter Kayla, in 1992, he took what had been a hobby, and made it into a second business, building indigenous instruments, which he pursued for about ten years. Ranging from digeredoos, flutes, rattles, wood and ceramic drums. Soon Arthur was asked by school teachers to present a class on native drums, and drum building. The classroom was ideal for passing the basics of these skills onto others, and he continued to hold workshops for children, at risk youth, teachers, and elders. Arthur’s third daughter, Nalina, was born during this time in 1998.

The year before, Arthur made the acquaintance of a Buddhist nun in Boulder, who was importing antiques from India. She recruited him to begin repair of the antiques. Restoration offered a new realm of challenges with wood, glass and iron. Arthur developed a wide repertoire of abilities in antique restorations during his seven years with her.

Arthur then met Eron Johnson and was introduced to a collection of antiques that have opened up a new level of skills in the restoration of antiques. With a 20 year background in building and architecture, Arthur has found new ground in which to expand his abilities as a restorer of old world antiques. With the vast inventory at Eron Johnson Antiques everyday is a learning experience for Arthur. He has been doing restoration and architectural sales with Eron Johnson for two years.

Arthur’s passions include his family, International disaster relief, fossils, making wine, studying engineering, archaeology, geology and medicine.
